Meet our Coaches
Somerville Pop-Warner is full of knowledgeable coaches that have been around the game for many years, and have played or coached the game at a very high level. Not many organization know the X's and O's like the SomerVillens program does. However, Its about much more to these coaches. Life lessons take place each and every night and its important to take time and reflex on them. Along with their knowledge of the game, all of our coaches are certified by New England Pop-Warner for a Concussion Mandatory seminar and National Pop-Warner . Your child comes first and their health or safety will never be compromised on a field supervised by a Somerville Pop-Warner representative.
Coach Ed has coached the A-Team for quite some time. In fact there are probably quite a few Somerville Packers that remember playing under him and his coaching staff. Coach Ed brings a winning attitude to the program and he is no stranger to the playoffs. He has won just about every championship shy of the big one (The National championship). He brings in a great coaching staff that relates very well with the kids.
Coach Roger has been involved with Somerville Pop-Warner since he could walk. Playing for the organization throughout his childhood allowed him to gain the skills and mind set to succeed at the next level. After excelling as a player in High School, Coach Roger decided to bring his knowledge of the game back to Pop-Warner. After a stint coaching at the A level , Roger found his calling at the B level and has proven hes a regular when it come to competing for league titles and post season births.
Coach Chris aka Coach Pudge, is the newest member of the head coaching staff (D-Team) but don't let that fool you. He is two for two in post season appearances. His first year coming up just short of the GBL Championship, which only added fuel to the fire, as this past season he won the GBL Championship and finished as runner up in Eastern Mass. Coach Chris always looks to improve from last year. The sky is the limit for this young coach.
